Diane Hogan discovered line dancing about 15 years ago when she was invited to a hoe down at her
friend's house in Davie. She always loved to dance but not needing a partner was great. From then on
she was hooked even though she was not a big fan of country music at the time. She took lessons and
attended events taking workshops and discovered she was surrounded by people who would watch her
since she seemed to remember the steps correctly and before you know it she was calling out the
steps to those around her. They would even corner her in the parking lot to go over a dance that the
instructor had just taught. "The teacher" was born. Her friend Stella Cabeca, "The Line Dance Guru",
realized her potential and had Diane teach for her when she needed a substitute. Diane has been
teaching for about 12 years now and in addition to her current classes she is the
intermediate/advanced line dance teacher at Round Up Country Western Club. She has taught at
numerous local functions and continues to attend line dance events around the country such as
Worlds, Boston, Chicago, Tampa, North Carolina and Orlando.
